Margherita Camping & Resort

Open since 1971, the family-run "Margherita" campsite and resort, in the mountains, is named after Granny Grittle, the Walser name for Margherita. Because, besides being a natural paradise, Gressoney is a synonym of Walser and ancient cultural traditions.

Our resort, situated in a large flat area 1385 m above sea level, is only a stone's throw from the town centre and the Gressoney ski lift facilities (Weissmatten). We are also the nearest campsite to the Monterosa Ski complex.

As we are open all year round, we can accommodate winter sports aficionados (who will find lots of possibilities to have fun: from carving to snowboarding, telemark to freeride, cross-country skiing to ice skating, winter climbing to walking with snowshoes) as well as enthusiasts of trekking at all levels and high altitude ascensions, going as far up as the highest refuges in the Valle d'Aosta and Europe in the summer season.

RESORT - THE 5 ELEMENTS

The chalets all have underfloor heating and were built using climate-controlled house building techniques, for maximum energy efficiency. The solar panels installed on the roofs also contribute and are perfectly in line with our philosophy of respect for the environment and prudent use of resources.
Each unit has a veranda for eating al fresco in the summer, a living room with a compact kitchen equipped with a microwave oven, a dishwasher and washing machine, a table with 6 chairs and a double sofa-bed, a bedroom with a double bed and fold-away bunk beds, a 5 door wardrobe and a bathroom with ante-bathroom. Clients can use the handy ski store with ski boot dryer situated on the veranda.
