Hot springs
The Pré-Saint-Didier natural thermal springs lie to the north of the merging of the Verney torrent with the Dora Baltea river. They flow out from a cave in the Pré-Saint-Didier ravine ("Gouffre de Pré Saint Didier) which was hollowed out by the waters of the Verney torrent. The warm waters of Pré-Saint-Didier were used for many years to treat rheumatic and muscular disorders, thanks to a moderate radioactivity. They were also famous for being relaxing, thanks to their low mineralisation, and for possessing tonic and fortifying properties, thanks to the presence of iron.
